The Frenchmans Track is one of Cape York’s true badge-of-honour routes. Running east from the Peninsula Development Road through remote bushland and river country, it’s a track that has earned legendary status thanks to one crossing in particular — the infamous Pascoe River.

What starts as a rough Cape York touring route quickly turns serious once the washouts deepen, the ruts get steeper and the river crossings start testing both driver and vehicle. Frenchmans isn't about speed. It's about preparation, line choice and knowing when to commit.

The Pascoe River has humbled plenty of rigs over the years, while the Wenlock River crossing and rough approaches remind drivers that Cape York doesn't hand out easy victories.
