The French Line is one of Australia's best-known desert 4WD routes and a defining part of the classic Simpson crossing. Running across the dune country towards Poeppel Corner, it's a track built around repetition, isolation and hundreds of kilometres of sand.

Conditions can make every crossing different. Wind, traffic, temperature and chopped-up dune approaches all play a part, while tyre pressures and vehicle weight can completely change how the rig handles the run.
